Patch is a neighbourhood kitchen garden where you can get involved in growing, nurturing and making things for free.

All outdoors workshops will take place at Angel Square between 12-3pm on Thursdays.

No booking necessary - just turn up on the day.

ALL(IUMS) OVER WINTER

Onions and garlic planted now for a lovely pungent early crop in the spring.

17 OCTOBER

BROAD SHOULDERED BEANS

We’re planning for next year and potting up some hardy over-wintering broadbeans.

24 OCTOBER

CUTTING WOOD HARD

We’ll be propagating our hardwood plant stock ready for planting out next year. Come and learn how to easily increase your number of plants for free!

14 NOVEMBER

FUNERAL FOR JACK O’ LANTERN

Bring your old carved pumpkins and turn them into bird feeders and garden planters. Or just feed them to Patch the compost monster.

21 NOVEMBER

COLD FRAMES

Patch needs a cold frame. Come and help construct one and then fill it with next years sweet peas.

28 NOVEMBER

FLOWERS ON YOUR FACE? TULIPS

We want Patch to be full of colour next year, what better than Tulips!

Death defying stuff. Extending the life of our vegetables by making pickles and kimchi.

We’ll be braving the cold to tidy up PATCH, harvest any ready veg, mulch and cloche the soil ready for new plantings and maybe make some resolutions.

Get your hands dirty sowing a range of seeds for the coming season.
